The state’s energy and environmental affairs secretary, Ian Bowles, wants more energy-saving features to be built into the Wal-Mart and Lowe’s stores planned for Salem. In its fifth-largest bank failures in the US history, Colonial BancGroup Inc., Montgomery, Alabama, was seized by regulators on Friday.
